This free virtual instrument features the Ching (Thai finger-cymbal) and contains 300 high quality samples.

The Ching (ฉิ่ง) is integral to the rhythmic pulse in the traditional Thai Piphat ensemble, which plays the highest order compositions of Thai music as well as accompanying traditional Thai theatrical performances.

This sample library contains the two sounds that are used in traditional Thai music. These sounds are the “Ching” (the open sound) and the “Chap”  (the closed damped sound). The instrument has been recorded with three microphone positions, using professional high end microphones. Recorded at 24bit and at a sample rate of 48Khz, this instrument contains 10 round robins which allows for a huge variety in sound when played. For each round robin there are also 6 velocity layers allowing for expressive and dynamic playing.

This instrument also includes an effects section which contains; reverb, delay, a Transient designer, Lo-fi effect, and a High and Low pass filter.

This instrument requires a full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.8.1 (R43) and above.
